We’ve all had group projects. You know where I’m going with this. There’s always that one person who’s not pulling their weight. You wait around for them to contribute their part, and when it isn’t delivered on time, you’re faced with the decision to either do it yourself and reward them for their laziness, or fail with them. You start to think–the way you always do with these things–that you would’ve been better off just working alone, because relying on someone who doesn’t have the same work ethic as you puts your vision at risk.
When you’re building something, there comes a time where you need help. You need more hands, more brains. More manpower. Having a team around you facilitates things, but only if each member has the same passion, drive and focus as you do. Find your people.
